Tim Reid, Jr. has been creating music with his voice and a piano all his
life. Having moved to Chicago
in 2002, Tim has collaborated with scores of
Chicago
musicians, in a wide variety of styles that include jazz, rock, folk,
soul, funk, in addition to contemporary and classical symphonic choral
music. Tim spent nearly two years traveling the country sharing his
music with the Chicago band, 56 Hope Road, and
helped to produce the recently released and critically acclaimed album
Law of Attraction which
includes one of Tim’s original songs, “Too Tall”, a track that continues
to gain recognition around the country and the world.
Tim Reid, Jr. has shared his musical voice in countless American cities,
including Los Angeles,
San Francisco, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis,
Omaha, Kansas
City, St. Louis,
Atlanta,
Cleveland, and New York City. While studying music at Millikin University,
Tim had the privilege to perform in many of The US and England’s most impressive choral
settings as a member of the internationally renown Millikin University
Choir. He also performed as
a member of the multi-award-winning vocal jazz ensemble
One Voice, and earned his
Bachelor of Music degree in May of 2002.
Originally from Westlake, Ohio (a suburb
of Cleveland),
Tim Reid, Jr. has enjoyed a large variety of musical expression
throughout his life, and continues to utilize his versatility.
Presently, Tim performs his own music regularly throughout
Chicago, collaborates with a great deal of
Chicago’s incredible musical artists, and also works with a
number of Chicago’s professional choral ensembles.
Aside from performing, Tim
teaches privately in piano, voice, and music theory.
He also composes and arranges for other artists and ensembles
throughout the country.
